My street wisdom experience with Tiffany wasn’t just a walk, it was a walking journey to self discovery. An intentional time to reflect with a trusted guide that illuminated new direction and an opportunity to get vulnerable with myself.

Simply put, it’s a three-hour investment into your personal growth, urban exploration, and intuitive discovery, broken into three distinct phases:

Sharing in a safe, supportive space

Tuning-In

While Tuning-In you learn to use your senses in a new way.

Three 10-minute exercises sharpen your senses, help you become more aware of your surroundings and the nuances of the street.

You'll be encouraged to see, hear, and feel your environment in a new, enlightening way.

The Quest

Seek answers, inspiration or guidance from your surroundings.

Armed with a question or challenge you'd like clarity on, you're set free to wander the streets on a purposeful journey.

The idea is that the environment, when observed with a keen eye and open heart, can offer wisdom and insight.

Sign that says "The Next Act"

Sharing

It’s very common for one person's insight to resonate with someone else — amplifying the collective wisdom of the group.

Got Questions?

Where are the Walkshops? We host most of our Walkshops in Edmonton, but also take the wander on the road to Jasper, Vegas, and others. There are also other Walkshops all around the world — see if there’s one near you.

Who can join? Street Wisdom Walkshops are open to everyone! Whether you're a seasoned city dweller or a visitor, there's always something new to discover. All that's required is an open mind, a question, and comfortable walking shoes!

Is there a cost? As a participant in one of our general Walkshops, no — it’s free! If you’d like us to facilitate a Walkshop for your event, conference, or group let’s connect to talk about our facilitation structure. 25% of all funds go directly to Street Wisdom, a non-for-profit with a mission to bring wisdom to the streets globally.

How far will I be walking? While the Walkshop isn’t a strenuous activity, participants should expect to cover a few kilometers over the course of the session. However, the emphasis is on observation and reflection, not on distance covered. The actual distance you walk will depend on your personal pace and where your quest takes you — which could be done within just a few hundred meters.

Is there any pre-work? It's helpful to come with a question or challenge you'd like insights on, but it's not mandatory. The tuning-in exercises often help you hone in on a question if you don’t have one to start with.

What should I bring with me? Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. A small notebook or journal to jot down any insights or observations can be handy. A bottle of water and some light snacks too — but you’ll also be able to grab a drink or snack at nearby shops while you’re wandering.

How many participants are usually in a Walkshop? To ensure a personal and immersive experience, our Walkshops typically have a limited number of participants, ranging from 5 to 20. More than 10 participants and we split into 2 groups. This allows for more intimate sharing and connection time.

Is the Walkshop suitable for all ages and fitness levels? Yes, the Walkshop is inclusive and leisurely paced. If you have mobility or health concerns let’s connect so we can ensure the experience meets your needs. Also note that the reflective nature might not captivate young children for the duration of the Walkshop.

What if it rains? Street Wisdom is designed to be experienced in all weather conditions. Rain can offer a unique perspective and set of stimuli. However, in the case of extreme weather conditions like thunderstorms, we may reschedule or adapt the Walkshop for safety.
